To help you manage your diabetes, the OneTouch Verio IQ Meter is a simple blood glucose monitor. It has an illuminated test area, a sizable color display, and an illuminated test strip port, allowing testing in the dark. Just a tiny drop of blood is required for the test strips to produce results in just five seconds, eliminating the need for coding. It is compatible with OneTouch Verio Test Strips and OneTouch Verio Control Solution.

What to do with this glucometer?

The OneTouch Verio IQ Blood Glucose Monitoring System is designed to work with blood samples taken solely from your fingertips or palm. The OneTouch Delica lancing device, while exclusively compatible with OneTouch Delica lancets and designed for fingertip testing, is not suitable for sampling “alternate” sites such as the palm.
Set your high and low limits for your blood glucose level results before testing, so you will know when you are in a healthy range and when you are not.
Use the test strip as soon as you remove it from the vial after opening it, but only when you are ready to perform a blood test. Test strips are single-use only.
Remove the lancing device cap, place a sterile lancet inside, and then replace the cap by rotating it clockwise to collect a blood sample from your fingertip. Next, adjust the puncture depth setting from 1 to 7, then slide the cocking control until it clicks. Next, you can activate your OneTouch Verio IQ Meter by inserting a test strip. The two silver prongs on the test strip’s gold side should be facing you as you insert the test strip into the port. Next, firmly press the lancing tool against the side of your finger to puncture it. Apply a round drop of blood to both sides of the test strip for detection.

Once you have a round drop of blood, apply your sample to the test strip on either side so that the blood will wick into the channel. You will have your results ready in five seconds if you wait for the channel to completely fill.
